 On July 26, 2024 , Nakaizu Winery Chateau TS submitted the wine to the Japan Wine Competition 2024 .

" Izu Symphony Red 2021 Premium " won the prestigious "Gold Award."

 

" Izu Symphony Red 2021 Premium " is a barrel-selected blend of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.

The characteristics of the three varieties complement each other, resulting in a wine with a gorgeous aroma and an elegant, complex flavor.

What is the Japan Wine Competition?

The Japan Wine Competition is a competition for "Japanese wine" made from 100 % domestically grown grapes.

The aim is to improve the quality and recognition of Japanese wine, as well as to enhance the image of each wine-producing region and the individuality and status of Japanese wine.

The event has been held since 2003 , and this year marks its 20th anniversary.
