There is a legend that this area of Nakaizu was blessed by the gods with the "fertility hot spring" known as "shiri-yu" or "shin-yu." When the story was investigated, it was discovered that a hot spring vein from an active fault line dating back 12,000 years exists directly beneath the hotel. With hopes growing that this could be the key to the hotel's revival, excavation of the hot spring began, with the hopes of developing the area and creating a place of relaxation for local residents and many others.

During construction, they hit solid bedrock several times and the drill bit broke twice, making it extremely difficult, but as a result of continuing to challenge the 12,000-year-old mystery, a high-quality hot spring suitable for drinking and boasting an abundant flow of two tons of water per hour at a height of 1,000 meters, a rare find in the Izu region. Believing that the hot spring, registered as "Shida Source," is a reincarnation of the hot spring of the gods, they named it "Jomon no Goshinyu" (Jomon Sacred Hot Spring) with heartfelt gratitude for the blessings of the earth. "Jomon" embodies the scent of Izu's history, while "Goshinyu" embodies the meaning of hot spring water bestowed by the gods, cherishing the local legends.
