Nakaizu Winery began as a way for founder Shida Tsutomu to "give back to his hometown."
Nakaizu Winery was born from the desire to give back to his hometown by building a winery similar to those in California. Currently, the vineyards have expanded to 10 hectares, cultivating more than 10 varieties. Having grown into one of the leading wineries in the country, the winery is already looking beyond. The founder's will will be carried on into the future, and we aim to coexist with the Izu region. And we aim to create wines that will impress many people.

Facilities
There are plenty of facilities unique to a winery, such as a wine factory, tasting corner, and wine cellar. You can also freely tour the "Shida and Wine" collection cellar, which displays rare wines from about 150 years ago.
Enjoy a special experience as winery staff explain the history of Nakaizu Winery and how wine is made. (Advance reservations required, 500 yen per person / 2 sessions, 1st session from 10:00 and 2nd session from 16:00, each with a capacity of 20 people)
Guests staying at Hotel Winery Hill and Nakaizu East Winds Village can participate for free as a special benefit of their stay. (Advance reservations required)

Barbecue Restaurant Grappa no Oka
Located a short distance from the main winery building, the "Grappa Distillery" has table grapes growing on the ceiling, and you can enjoy a barbecue while sunlight filters through the trees.
We manufacture distilled liquor ( Izu Kagero / Izu Kagero BARREL ) made from grape skins and seeds that remain after wine is brewed.
Enjoy a full-fledged horseback riding experience in the rich natural surroundings of the Izu mountain range and a 10-hectare vineyard.
Our experienced instructors will provide thorough and attentive instruction, so even first-time riders can enjoy horseback riding with peace of mind.
